90’S FURNITURE COLLECTION
ELECTRIC CHAIRS
Electric chairs is a collection of chairs conceived as 'microchips', each incorporating a single human/ technological function:
1. MAKE UP / an old chair is transformed into a vanity table equipped with hair dryer, mirror and lights.
2. WATCH / a bare TV set is buried into a chair and lifted up to be used as a changing light lamp or watched through a system of mirrors.
3. CALL / a telephone and an answering machine are disassembled to engage all parts of the caller’s body involved in a 'phone call', leaving their hands free.
FIT VIDEO THEATER
A TV-lab broadcasting images of the recycling civilization is frozen by a temporary structure made by eight refrigerators assembled in a ring. Images and sound diffused by bared TV sets imbedded in the refrigerator doors surround the viewers as they rest on padded areas within the supporting scaffolding frame.

STEREO LOUNGE
The tilted structure of a mail cart is transformed into a reclining lounger lined with scrap foam and equipped with stereo speakers and reading light.
WORK STATION
A box spring is bent and held off the floor by discarded mops and broom sticks to form a work station fully equipped with seating, computer, radio, telephone, and more.
VIEWING ROOM, for EYE TO EYE, CBS NEWS
450 broadcast size videotapes, extracted from the discarded images of the TV corporation, are compressed between wood frames by rods running through their reels. The resulting hollow prism is penetrated by a TV set, a VCR and scrap foam.
It is inhabited by the tireless viewer's body.
