ALECCI APARTMENT

A broken axis penetrates the length of this floor-through apartment. Peeled parting walls connected by suspended lighting elements define the line between kitchen/living room and bedroom/boudoir.
1.KITCHEN/LIVING ROOM
Removing the gypsum board, the revealed wooden structure acts as a visual screen between the two areas and a support for bared appliances and more. The refrigerator is hinged in order to swing in and out of the kitchen; two shelves collapse by the stove top held up by police barricades; tubing riveted to a metal store sign form a counter with buried answering machine and revolving telephone. Oven, fan operated hood, TV set are hanging from the structure. On the opposite wall, over the sink, pulleys and magnets activate the square metal sheet doors of the cabinet.
All materials are found—aluminum signage, metal drum and crates, wood barricades.
2.BEDROOM/BOUDOIR
A revealed maze of vertical wooden studs is filtered by simple horizontal elements: shelves, shoe and clothing racks, collapsible ironing board and the wooden strips along the 'facade' screen the closet sight as well as electrical and natural light.
