CBS VIEWINGROOM
Commissioned by CBS Eyewitness with Connie Chang in 1995, the CBS VIEWING ROOM is the result of scavenging through CBS dismissed archival tapes—the large amount the network stored as the content was under copyright.
Metal rods run through the two wheels of the plastic tapes and compress them between two wood-stud frames. Trapped in the compression are also a TV set and a tape player for viewing, and foam for seating comfort. The assembly is lifted on steel legs on wheels.
