STACKS are temporary large-scale installations that aim at creating powerful spatial experience.
Taking advantage of the systems and technologies to move and store shipping containers, the STACKS propose ‘dry’ assemblies where containers are selected and simply piled up to form different configurations, generating variety both of volumes and of interior spaces.
Strategies of repetition and variations both follow and challenge the shipping container structural logic, twisting the conventional container stacks and masses with attention to space – and to a direct one-to-one experience as the spaces are visited, crossed and traversed freely.
