concept & vision

we position 3 rotating mechanisms across 3 visually connected spaces of the apartment - hallway, living room, and kitchen - each incorporating 3 core technological functions of each specific room

program & use

an efficient, useful and surprising entrance reuses two apartments doors that had been removed as a phone booth, a bike rack, and a coat/hat/umbrella hanger. In the living space, an entertainment monolith bonds all video and sound technology into one swiveling object. In the kitchen, one wood pallet is topped with aluminum signage and fitted with all sort of kitchen/dining gadgets taking advantage of the existing spaces within the found object. It is lifted to counter height - and so are the chairs, now attached to the wall - to take two different position, rotating along its own light fixture

impact & significance

hand-made installations concentrate our intervention, interacting with the apartment untouched
