Making Time, an art exhibition curated by Amy Cappellazzo, explores Time in Video Art through works of artists who use their consciousness of time as subject matter. We give materiality to this immaterial media considering the works' sequence and our bodies in relation to Time, here used to watch video art

design & architecture

a single volume organizes the main museum space buffering and insulating video art projections within it and outside in the main hall. Its scaffolding structure spans across the adjacent walls on two levels to support works on monitors. The volume is finished inside with acoustic foam and outside with foiled insulation to enhance moving image reflections

program & use

we organize the space in close collaboration with the curator Amy Cappellazzo, around the different video works and their optimal spatial setting, engaging different spaces through a variety of experiences and technologies: the main volume houses individual theatre rooms within, holding equipment for large scale projection on the double-height exhibition wall, serviced by directional speakers; the long galleries on two levels are both fitted with a slanted wall, cushioned with upside-down floating mattresses, to hold our bodies as we watch video art, one artist per monitor
