concept & vision
as global media culture transforms how we see and imagine the worlds around us, neurological science gives us a new understanding of human consciousness, and artists expand the very means of making and experiencing art. Mind Sets addresses these converging forces of media, art, and science
design & architecture
we insert a scaffolding with screens and projections to fully occupy the rotunda space and ramps. A post-video project, Mind Sets moves past the traditional configuration of electronic media as television and video, and into a new kind of screen – a surface of information and virtual matter where artists compose new interactive auditory and visual experiences
impact & significance
immersive media, as an ephemeral yet as immersive physical structure, fills the open space of the museum. We create alternative cross paths and circulation throughout, stitching the museum's continuous ramp at random points, manipulating its one-way trajectory into a multifaceted, composite experience
