WE START WITH THE THINGS WE FIND

concept & vision
we insert a square of connected containers, a loop, within an abandoned warehouse to activate it independently of its structure.
program & use
the continuous space within the container square houses the work areas of AFROPUNK music festival, their recording studios and shops with merch. It is lifted to the top of the bike ramps to grant viewing of the action, as the center space within the square is fitted with moveable wood ramps for BMX events
impact & significance
we celebrate the existing warehouse and its incredible space and wood roof structure. And we bring within it another material world and experience inserting yet another existing object and celebrating its own long, corridor-like volume and space
