concept & vision
we stack 30 containers to infill an extremely narrow left-over lot on a major New York intersection - the irregular lot, over 170’ long by 20’ wide, poses a real challenge to its potential use and development. We propose a long and thin structure where the horizontality of the containers visually responds to the flow of traffic along Houston street. Container doors and fronts are replaced with light-boxes to display moving signage and video art
