concept & design

we realize a second series of works through cutting and removing, chiefly through meticulous laser-cutting from surfaces of cardboard boxes. We embrace the boxes' potential, this time laying them flat. We layer them with a graphic band of paint, and burn them to cut through or to expose the cardboard corrugation, which we use as the corrugation of our containers independently of scale. We work through the limitation of our machine - its size is the module. And then assemble, this time using proximity, boxes simply next to one another to achieve a different scale, embracing this new format
